A member of the football club in Al-Wahda Club, the former international player, Fahd Masoud, returned to the homeland, the day before yesterday, from the United States of America, where he spent four months for treatment, after he was exposed to a health problem that necessitated his travel abroad.
The return of Masoud, who received great attention from his fans and the management of Al-Wahda Club, was a great relief among the fans of Annabi and the rest of the other clubs, after it was noticed that the big star appeared in good health upon his arrival at Dubai International Airport accompanied by members of his family.
Fahd Masoud, a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Wehda Club, was received by Amer Al-Saeiri, and a number of former stars, led by Bashir Saeed.
Fahd Masoud praised the hospitality of the receptionist, stressing that he was eager for everyone during the long period in which he underwent treatment.
Masoud said in statements to the media that he would complete his treatment in the country, before returning again to America to follow up his case with the treated medical team, to ensure that the stages of treatment are on the right track.
He added: «The stage of treatment at its beginning was very difficult, and we need a great determination to overcome the disease, I was very fortunate with the group of young people that were present in America, as well as the Emirati embassy there, which played a major role with me to support me at that stage.
He pointed out, "I was able to overcome all the difficulties that confronted me with the sincerity of the feelings of the family and friends here in the Emirates, who stood by my side and supported me, and this matter made me adapt to the reality of the disease and challenge it, and today I see that I can triumph over it, and this is my message to everyone: Do not be afraid of the disease ».
