It finally became a 21st place for Daniel Rickardsson in the five-mile at Holmenkollen in Oslo.

- It was quite tiring early, I had hoped to be more attractive. But I fought for a long time. Maybe I had a little worse glide and thought that I needed to change skis but at the same time I did not dare it because then time runs out, he tells SVT Sport.

- So afterwards I would have gone in and changed skis earlier.

In addition, he and Jens Burman changed later than they had planned.

- I counted a little wrong on the laps, Jens asked if we would change but I said "no we stick to the next lap". But it was really when we were going to change. You get a little chubby in the skull.

Can finish the career

After the ski change, it felt better for Rickardsson, but then he went the last two laps himself.

- I would have switched earlier so I might have hung on the cluster. It was a tough five miles. Somewhere, it was a little half-fun anyway.

The five-mile was Rickardsson's last World Cup for the season, and it is still unclear what the future looks like.

- I've been thinking about whether this is the last season, I haven't decided yet. I feel that it will grow in the spring. It is great fun to compete but I want to be at a higher level and if I bet wiser I want to believe in what I do.

What determines if you continue?

- It has to do with whether I still feel the urge to invest, and feel that there is energy for it.
