21-year-old Sofia Kenin is the hottest player in women's tennis right now. She won the first Grand Slam tournament (Australian Open) just over a month ago, and today won the final of the Lyon Open. She thus became the first player on the WTA Tour to win two tournaments in 2020.
The final against the 45-ranked German Anna-Lena Friedsam, who never won a WTA tournament, became an exciting story. Kenin won by 2-1 in sets: 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
