While Inter will have to wait to play its Italian Cup semi-final against Napoli - postponed due to coronavirus -, the club has announced that it will donate 100,000 euros to the department of biomedical sciences and clinics at Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan.

The club justified its choice by welcoming "a structure of excellence that stood out for having identified the first three complete genomes, obtained from Italian isolates of SARS-CoV -2 circulating in Lombardy". Interim President Steven Zhang explained that "Inter had an unwavering link with the city of Milan and was proud of the dedication with which all the staff of Sacco Hospital was dealing with the exceptional situation".
