Tokyo Marathon Joshi Osako Japan New Record Advances to Olympic National Team March 1st 11:22
The Tokyo Marathon, which also serves as the representative selection for the men's marathon of the Tokyo Olympics, was held, and Osako Takashi set a new record in Japan of 2 hours, 5 minutes and 29 seconds, and was ranked fourth highest in Japanese athletes. Osako set a new record for 21 seconds from the Japanese record of 2 hours, 5 minutes, and 50 seconds, which he himself marked as an adult. The remaining selection race for the men's marathon will be the Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon one week later. If no competitor is faster than Osako, Osako will be selected as the representative.
