A heavy snowfall is expected during the day in the Vasaloppe area, conditions that pave the way for an even run into the goal portal in Mora.

- I think it will be super tight, many with long. It has been tough before and it will be again there is no doubt about the weather that is now, says Andreas Nygaard, winner 2018.

Nygaard leads the long-distance race and comes to Mora with victories in the last two races in the back. Last year he was in the fight for the victory but ended in four after a sprint battle.

- It felt sad to see Tore with the wreath around his neck last year, and to become four himself. I hope to make a good run. If I do, I'm one of many who have realistic chances of being first above the finish line, says Nygaard.

Emil Persson is eighth in the total but leads the youth cup and has taken two wins during the season. Now the 24-year-old hopes to join the Vasaloppet.

- If I've won once, I can do it again, so it's a good feeling for Sunday's race, says Emil Persson.

A week ago, Britta Johansson won Norgren Tjejvasan. Tomorrow she is one of the advance favorites for the victory in the Vasaloppet, which she previously won twice, most recently last year.

- I am very much looking forward to Sunday but there is still that little anxiety in that it will be a tough race and that you have to do the final preparations very well, says Johansson Norgren to SVT Sport.

Lina Korsgren won the Vasaloppet 2018 last year, she was second now the target is set for a new top spot.

- I have a good feeling in my body. I am humbled that there are many who want to be at the top of the podium again this year but I think I have a really good chance to be there, says
