The Marcus Danielson deal means big money for Djurgården: around SEK 50 million, according to Expressen's data.

But even for the midback's former clubs, it is clearing at checkout. In the parent club Skogstorps GoIF, Marcus Danielson played up to 17 years of age.

The association, which has a men's team in division five and a women's team in division three, now together with IFK Eskilstuna, Helsingborg and Västerås SK share about SEK 2.5 million.

Will not make a toxin venture

- We really are a neighborhood club. Skogstorp is a community south of Eskilstuna, the association has 400 members and around 16 teams include the children's and youth activities. So this obviously means a lot to us, says chairman Pär Eriksson to SVT Sport.

He says he is a "cautious man" and therefore counts low, but between SEK 750,000 and one million in solidarity compensation is what the club has to wait.

- It corresponds to an annual turnover for us, so there will be opportunities with this money. But we want to think wisely. We will not make a tax effort but think long-term.

"Nice and humble guy"

Probably the money will go to the association's children's and youth sports, which Pär Eriksson believes is what Marcus Danielson had also wanted.

- I understand that this news is mostly about money. But I also really want to highlight what a nice and humble guy Marcus is. When the association celebrated 100 years last year, he was with the whole evening and gave speeches from the stage, although they (Djurgården) played for the SM gold.

- He shows such respect for his roots, everyone knows who he is and he has a good reputation. And his parents still live, everyone knows the Danielson family.

What was it like to follow him?

- He was a reasonably good player in VSK and Helsingborg. We were proud then as well but something has happened to him in maturity. If one had said to Marcus two, three years ago that he would play for the SM gold, join the national team and become financially independent through a foreign career ... he is a late bloomer, says Pär Eriksson.

Earlier on Friday, it was clear that Djurgården's team captain and football team's center-back Marcus Danielson is leaving Sweden for games in Chinese Dalian Yifang FC.
