Björklöven are already clear series winners and now the question is which of Modo or Timrå make them company in the hockeyall Swedish final.

Shaping strong Timrå caught Modo in points in the last round and only the difference in goals keeps Modo ahead of the table.

Such is the case even after Friday's games where Modo defeated AIK by 4-1 and Timrå won at home against Mora by 3-2.

Modo was pressed

Patrik Karlkvist dotted his 29th goal of the season when he gave the steamers the lead in powerplay in the first period.

In the second period Kim Rosdahl had a puck in the goal that was sentenced after video review. Modo drummed on and shortly thereafter Rosdahl got an assist when Victor Berglund put 2-0. The hill had to be completely clean in the castle and had plenty of time to release its drawstring.

Early in the third period, the guests slashed a three-to-one position. Just a minute later, AIK reduced to 1-2 by Emil Aronsson.

Kangasniemi big hero

Modo was pressed, but after 51.25, Finnish forward Iikka Kangasniemi put 3-1 with his first goal in the Modo shirt. He then twisted the puck right out of the arms of AIK's Johan Larsson and sprung it up in the net roof.

A few minutes later, the 170 cm long Kangasniemi struck again.

This time he broke an AIK pass in his own zone, rushed to a free position and put it neatly 4-1.

Kangasniemi turns the puck again - lowers AIK by 4-1

Kangasniemi joined Modo in early February and has been a reliable point picker in the Finnish high school for the past few seasons.

With two rounds left, Modo remains second in the table, but at the same point (105) as the arch rival Timrå.
