Johanna Larsson has made her last appearance in the world tennis. She tells tennis.se that she does not have the energy and desire to continue to invest.

- I've had these thoughts for a while, already during the Australian Open, but the real decision I made after the Fed Cup in February. Even though I was acknowledged that I was at a high level, the feeling was reinforced that I did not really have what it takes to play at the absolute top. I don't want to do anything to 70-80 percent, Johanna Larsson tells the site.

Not even an upcoming Olympics attracted her enough to continue for a few more months.

- To perform at the top and get there, it takes an enormous amount of time and dedication and magically many hours of training on the track and I do not feel that I have driven it and I do not want to do it halfway. Had I not already been to an Olympic Games, I might have felt differently.

Larsson's best ranking scores are 45 in singles, in 2016, and 20 in doubles, in 2017.
