Robin Lehner got ready for the Chicago Blackhawks this summer after a successful New York Islanders year.

But after just a little over half a season in the club, the relocation class now goes straight ahead for the 28-year-old Gothenburg citizen.

Tonight, 21.00 Swedish time, the NHL's transfer window closed.

Vegas goes towards the playoffs

During the final closing minutes of the window, the message came that the goalie star was part of a move between Chicago and the Vegas Golden Knights. In the other direction, the Blackhawks get Chicago goalkeeper Malcolm Subban and a second pick in this summer's draft.

There he will now fight against goalkeeper veteran Marc-André Fleury on the first lap. With 15 rounds remaining of the base series, Vegas is on a stable playoff spot, as leader of the Pacific division. Chicago chose earlier in the evening to replace Hill Erik Gustafsson, 27. He ended up in Calgary.

The Swede has previously openly told of his alcohol and drug abuse when he belonged to Buffalo two years ago.

In a long report with SVT Sport he told about the fight against mental health.
