Remo Freuler trailed 3-0 before Hateboer, after a long run, again overcame Doménch.

Goalkeepers and considerably tougher became the Champions League duel in London.

But goals were scored, and it was Leipzig's visitors who scored the penalty on 58 minutes. Timo Werner put the ball behind Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Leipzig's Swedish national team midfielder Emil Forsberg started on the bench and was replaced by 83 minutes.
