Hanna Öberg's choice of the early start number was because she did not want to know if she would shoot for a medal during the race.
German Vanessa Hinz was in gold position after only one boom but when Dorothea Wierer shot full and fast in the last shoot and then sprinted on the track the gold was ready for the World Cup gold for the home favorite. Hinz looked defeated by only 2.2 seconds. Bronze for Norwegian Marte Olsbu Røiseland. Öberg another fourth place.
- It's a boom too much, it's a shame, Öberg tells SVT Sport.
Öberg was in medal position before the fourth shooter where she barred a shot.
- It's a little sour. I let go of that shot, I didn't have a hundred focus right then.
Weaver's victory gave the other World Cup gold to the home crowd.
