Spanish coach Josep Guardiola plans to remain at the head of the Manchester City technical staff even if the English club loses its appeal before the Sports Arbitration Court "Cass" regarding the penalty of suspending two seasons from participating in European football competitions, according to Greek press reports Monday.

The newspaper "The Times" quoted Guardiola informing the club's board of directors and the players that he will remain in the Al-Ittihad stadium despite the suspension and reports that the Italian champions Juventus wanted in the past eight seasons, to sign him.

The newspaper reported that Guardiola, who has been at the head of the device for City since the summer of 2016, informed his intentions to the players during his meeting with them.

"Look, no matter what tournament we are competing in, I will be here. Even if they put us on Leg Two (the lowest local professional score) I will be here," Sky Sports quoted the coach as saying.

He stressed that "this is the time when we must stay together."
