This is clear after a member meeting with Swedish Elite Football (Sef), an interest organization for the 32 clubs in the Allsvenskan and Superetta.

"We feel that we do not want to rush into anything, but this question is important to investigate carefully before making a decision about and how we want to use VAR," Mats Enquist, secretary general at Sef, said in a press release.

He believes that the supporters will also be heard on the issue through the Swedish Football Supporters Union (SFSU).

"During 2020, they will use their club or SFSU as part of a unified foundation to use as a basis for their decisions and referral responses by the autumn of 2021," Enquist says.

VAR debuted on the big stage during the 2018 World Cup and has also been introduced in several of the major football leagues around the world.
