Linus Ullmark fought, made big-scale saves and did everything possible to keep his Buffalo in the match against Ottawa.

But with ten minutes left to play, he rolled backwards so that his right leg twisted unhappily.

- It's always hard to see, but we'll see how he feels. There is no doubt that he is a central part of how we played lately, says coach Ralph Krueger at the press conference after the match.

- The doctors will do a more thorough examination tomorrow, you will know more then, says Krueger about Ullmark, who has taken a seat between the posts in 18 of the team's last 20 matches.

Many goals in powerplay

Krueger couldn't enjoy the match otherwise.

Buffalo went four times on expulsions at home to Buffalo. Three of the numerical superiors managed the guests in the best way, in scoring.

- We took too many deportations, or maybe not too many, but unnecessary, and we couldn't keep away and we have been good at this before but not today, says Buffalo's Marcus Johansson to reporters in the dressing room.

In Ottawa, the notes were more cheerful.

-When I came here from Montreal I was told I would get the chance in powerplay. And I got good chances today, says Mike Reilly, who scored the team's third goal in games with a man more on the ice, and his first in the Ottawa jersey, to the Ottawa Sun.

-We haven't really received a reward for our struggles before, but we have continued to fight for better and tonight the reward came, says team goalkeeper Craig Anderson according to nhl.com.

Nilsson has had a concussion

Anderson's Swedish goalkeeping colleague in Buffalo, Anders Nilsson, was not included in the squad.

Nilsson has not played since December 16 last year, when he was declared ill and would be back soon. But earlier this year, the club announced by the Swede has been concussed and a return will be delayed further.

-He feels better and better. But that is a sensitive injury and we want to give him time to be completely healthy and ready for play, Ottawa coach DJ Smith told the Ottawa Sun ahead of Tuesday's game.
