The Euro Hockey Tour tournament will be played in the Globe between February 6 and 9. In the tournament at home, Skellefteåbacken Jonathan Puda will make his debut.
- A player who has come up many times, but fails to get into the squad. Now we felt that he raised his level in the game which has been at a high and consistent level. Jonathan has the game with puck, but I think he also competes in the game without puck. It will be exciting to see Pudas with us, says Johan Garpenlöv during the press conference.
Mario Kempe, who played the World Cup last year, is doing his first Euro Hockey Tour for the season. During the season he joined the KHL club CSKA Moscow from the Arizona Coyotes organization.
- He made a big impression during the World Cup tournament in Slovakia. He came home in the fall, but then I let him be. Now he is in the game on a big rink and he knows how we play. I look forward to getting him into the team as he can play at all forward positions, says Garpenlöv.
"Feels really exciting"The tournament is the third of the season for Tre Kronor and Johan Garpenlöv making their first season as the league captain. The first tournament, the team lost all three matches, but the last one, Tre Kronor played up and won the tournament.
- It feels really exciting. We as a leadership team have made great strides and also as a team. Last tournament we focused on the start of the matches which were not good in Finland, says Johan Garpenlöv.
