It is on the advice of national team doctor Jakob Swanberg that the alpine skiing team made the decision not to compete in China. According to the program, a downhill race and a super-G will be run in Yanqing on February 15-16.

- We have made a joint decision which means that we will not go there with our gang. There is no chance that we are risking our riders, even though it is sad, says alpine manager Tommy Eliasson Winter.

The International Ski Federation, Fis, has not yet made a decision as to whether or not the competition should take place. Aftonbladet talked to Alexander Köll about the competition before the union's decision had been made. Then he said:

- I trust our national team doctors and the national team management completely. If they think we should not go, I stand by their advice.
