- I have informed the national team management that I advise against traveling to China, writes Jakob Swenberg, national team physician in the alpine national team, to SVT Sport in an SMS.

The advice comes after a major outbreak of the virus disease Corona, where China has been severely affected with many confirmed infected. Between 12-16 February, a stop is planned in the men's alpine world cup with competitions in super-G and downhill race where Swedish Alexander Köll has participated and competed during the season.

Swenberg also tells SVT Sport that he has passed his opinion to the International Ski Federation, FIS.

- Has also communicated my position to colleagues on the FIS Medical Committee, writes Swenberg.

A final decision from the FIS will be made in connection with this weekend's competition in Garmisch Partenkirschen.
