His Highness expressed during the meeting that took place at the Palace of the Sea in Abu Dhabi, his happiness at the success of the Zayed Charity Marathon activities in all copies through the volume of posts and the level of organization, in addition to his message aimed at supporting the efforts of charitable and humanitarian institutions, and appreciated the efforts made by the organizing committee, participants and supporters to succeed This is an annual charitable sporting event.

His Highness said that the festival comes within the framework of the specific initiatives of the Emirates, which aim to support the humanitarian and charitable efforts, and enable the institutions concerned in societies to fulfill their mission and tasks in various brotherly and friendly countries of the world.

His Highness added: “The State, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, attaches great importance to humanitarian initiatives in support of empowering and developing the societies of the countries of the world, based on its approach and giving in the fields of humanitarian action, and its pioneering role in supporting the march of goodness, peace and development for all peoples.” .

It is noteworthy that the sixth edition of the Zayed Charity Marathon, which was held in Suez Governorate during last December, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the proceeds of which were dedicated to the benefit of the National Cancer Institute of the University of Cairo.

And he divided the marathon into a race for people of determination for a distance of two kilometers, and another for professionals and amateurs for a distance of eight kilometers, and the launch of the "Zayed Charity Marathon" was directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during the year 2001, and began his career in New York in 2005, and during 2014 he moved to Egypt, where the last version witnessed the participation of more than 20 thousand people from different groups of Egyptian society.
