The tragic accident happened on Sunday morning outside Los Angeles, local time. The basketball world is in mourning and during several of the games that were played in the NBA the same day, the team chose to start the game by letting the shot clock, 24 seconds, tick out to honor Bryant, who carried 24 and number 8 during his career.
Kobe Bryant did something as unusual as spending his entire 20-year NBA career in the same club, the Los Angeles Lakers, and had a huge impact on the entire basketball world. With that, Dallas Maverick has chosen to retire at number 24, despite Bryant never playing for the club.
