It is almost certain that the Football Association Chairman Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi will assume the presidency of the Football Association, after he formally submitted his candidacy papers from Ajman Club for the next four-year election cycle for the period from 2020 to 2024, while he has not yet submitted any Another candidate for the post of President of the Federation.

According to the timetable set by the committee overseeing the electoral process, the door to run for the position of president of the federation that started on the 20th of this day will be closed at five in the evening, at the end of the official working hours of the Football Association, and if no one submits his candidacy for the presidency of the federation, then Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Naimi will automatically win the position of President of the Federation by acclamation.

The committee supervising the elections next March has set a date for the elections, and the committee is expected to hold a meeting in the coming hours to officially announce the winning candidate for the post of president of the federation, after examining the nomination papers and ensuring that the required conditions are met.

The head of the election committee, Salem Bahyan Al-Amri, had confirmed in previous statements that the electoral process would be interrupted by examining periods for candidates and appeals forms, and to notify the member clubs of the approved final list.

The candidacy for membership in the Board of Directors will open on the fourth of next month, and will close on the 13th of it.

The General Assembly of the Football Association adopted, during its extraordinary meeting on the 12th of this month, the new list of elections for the Football Association, and the list stipulated that the board of directors of the Federation consist of 12 people, including the president of the association, members and the female component.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi takes over the presidency of the transitional committee, after he was elected by the emergency general assembly that was held in this regard, following the resignation of the former Football Association Board headed by Marwan bin Ghalita.

The Football Association Elections Committee includes Muhammad Rashid Al-Hafiti, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, and the membership of Hamad Khamis Hamad, Abdul Rahman Al-Amri and Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Sharhan.

The door to candidacy for the Board of Directors was opened on the fourth of next month.
