Last Wednesday, Al-Sheikh sent a message to Al-Ahly club management via its Facebook page, asking for a decision on his resignation from the club’s honorary presidency, which he submitted more than a year and a half ago.

Al-Ahmar club responded with a statement welcoming Turki to return to work, stressing that the club's board of directors did not mention the resignation in any of its meetings.

The source, who declined to be named, told Al-Jazeera Net that "these statements were in advance coordination between the two parties."

According to the source close to the club’s board of directors, the council headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib is afraid of the reaction of “Al-Qarn Club” fans, after the insults that Turki Al Sheikh directed to the members of the council and accusing them of being “thieves and gangs”, Al-Ahly fans will not accept his return to work with the club again .

"The two parties agreed that the return of the Al-Sheikh to work with Al-Ahly again, with a public request, that the Al-Sheikh issue a statement requesting the Al-Ahly club's board to decide on the issue of honorary presidency, provided that the Al-Ahly Council, through its electronic committees, welcomes this return." .

Al-Khatib, the president of Al-Ahly club, controls most of Al-Ahly's fans on the communication sites - according to the source - and asked them to activate the "#No Resignation_Take_Take_Sheikh" tag on Twitter, and in fact, these pages raised the issue of welcoming Al-Sheikh's return to work with Al-Ahly again.

Immediately after the spread of the marking, the Al-Ahly Council issued a statement stating that “the club’s management confirms that the resignation that Al-Sheikh submitted from the club’s honorary presidency through his official account on Facebook, more than a year and a half ago, was not addressed by the board of directors in its previous meetings.”
