Today's stage contained four stages and there has been a steady sweep at the top of the results list.

Six-time world champion Sébastien Ogier started the morning in the lead, but was invited just like yesterday to stiff tough opposition during the day by teammate Elfyn Evans. The duo, both new to Toyota, have been turned around at the top of the leaderboard as a leader. On the final stretch of the day over 20 kilometers, both had problems but Ogier lost 4.9 seconds against Evans, thus leading to tomorrow's finish.

Neuville shadows

Thierry Neuville has retained his third place and with three straight wins today he really challenges the top duo. Only 6.4 seconds the top trio separates with four distances left to run.

Last year Sébastien Ogier had a victory margin of just 2.2 seconds, the smallest victory margin ever, in the classic rally this year
88th time. Everything now speaks for yet another raffling ending to the season premiere of the Rally World Cup.

Ogier who grew up in the area of the rally has won six years in a row in Monte Carlo, the question is whether Evans or Neuville can break that victory suite? Neuville has been second best in Monte Carlo, Evans's best result so far in the season premiere is sixth.

"The plan is to go for the victory, but we must at the same time drive smart and safe," Thierry Neuville tells WRC.

The final stretch, the power stage, where important bonus points are at stake will be broadcast live tomorrow in Sweden's Television at 12.00 in SVT Play. The route is then forwarded in SVT2 at 13:00.
