The Swedish bandyland team lost to Russia by 4-7 in Finnish Lappeenranta and thus fell for the second time in a day in the tournament.

Christoffer Fagerström became a three-goal shooter for Sweden but still had to step off the ice as a loser.

After combing zero against Finland on Friday (2–3), new league captain Michael Carlsson now has four straight defeats in one month against Finland and Russia, both of which are the supposed competitors for the World Cup gold when the World Cup begins in Russian Irkutsk at the end on March.

- Never fun to lose matches, but at the same time we are building on things ahead of the World Cup in Irkutsk. We are quite calm in the group, but at the same time wanted to have results with us along the way, says Michael Carlsson, whose representative Svenne Olsson quit after the World Cup silver in Vänersborg last year, to Bandypuls.

- Of course I want to win matches, but as the national team I have a mission and that is that we should be good in the World Cup. I've been around for so long and am pretty calm. We have tested a few things now these two collections and it would be strange if everything sat at once.

The Bandy World Cup will be played March 28 - April 5
