The meeting with India was not one of Swedish pingi's proudest moments considering what lay in the pot.

India won by 2-3.

Stina Källberg and Matilda Ekholm started by winning the doubles match and when Ekholm took their singles match against Ayhika Mukherjee with 3-1 in the set, Sweden had the chance to advance to victory and further qualifying.

But it didn't get as fun. Stina Källberg and Linda Bergström fell in their matches and India went on.

Individually, there is still the opportunity to qualify for the Olympics.

During the day, it is the men's turn to torment. Spain are waiting in the semi-finals.

- Spain we have a good look at since we have met them several times recently. The second semi-final is quite open between Belarus and Hungary. We met and beat Hungary at the last European Cup but it was a tough match and Belarus has Vladimir Samsonov in the team and it is always difficult to have him on the other side of the table. But we see it as an advantage that we met these teams recently. The draw feels good, it could have been a lot tougher, says associate captain Peter Blomquist to the Table Tennis Association.
