On Wednesday night it became official. Tino Kadewere, who left Djurgården in the summer of 2018, changes club in France. The striker moves from Le Havre in Ligue 2 to the major club Lyon in Ligue 1.

- It's a fairy tale that is absolutely amazing. It is clear that we are incredibly proud that Tino ends up in one of Europe's largest clubs: Lyon, says Djurgården's Sports Manager Bosse Andersson.

The transition also gives rise to Dif's cash register.

When Kadewere signed for Le Havre, Djurgården received over SEK 20 million for the striker, according to Expressen. When Lyon now purchases Kadewere, the big club pays around SEK 150 million. The Express has previously stated that Dif has a relocation clause that entitles the club to ten percent of that transfer fee.

“Great for Djurgården”

Bosse Andersson, sports manager, does not want to comment on any figures, but he is satisfied.

- It is fantastic for Djurgården purely financially, he says.

Is that the player you have made the most money from?

“It's definitely our greatest of all time. Michael Olunga and Tino Kadewere are the two players who have generated the most revenue. Tino is the player that we have earned the biggest revenue in history.
