The superb Premier League serial leader got a dream start when team captain Jordan Henderson nodded 1-0 to Liverpool on a corner after only eight minutes played. But the team went on a setback with barely a quarter to a break when Sadio Mané was forced to be injured.

Was damaged

Without Mané, it wasn't long before Wolverhampton cracked Liverpool's goals in the second half. In the 51 minute play, Raúl Jiménez played beautifully with Adama Traoré. The latter hit a post that Jiménez took advantage of as he nodded 1-1 at the far post. Goalie Jiménez later had a position to give the home team the lead but that time Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson won the duel.

Late crucial

Instead of a point loss, Liverpool - again - managed to take all three points. In the 84th minute Jordan Henderson passed Roberto Firmino who scored the decisive 2-1 goal.

The victory was the team's 14 straight in the Premier League and despite a match less played, Liverppol leads with a full 16 points ahead of Manchester City.
