Real Madrid signed a 18-year-old Brazilian striker Rainier from Flamingo with a long-term contract until June 2026 for 35 million euros, the Spanish club announced on Monday.

"Real Madrid and Flamingo have reached agreement on the transfer of Rainier, who will be linked to the club until June 2026," Real Madrid said in a statement.
"The player will join the reserve team at Real Madrid Castilla at the end of his participation in the Olympic Games in Tokyo next summer in the ranks of his under-23 team."

The Spanish newspaper "S" revealed that Renier's contract includes a penalty clause of 30 million euros, with the value increasing to 70 million in January 2021.

Several clubs announced their desire to obtain services of Rainier, who scored 6 goals in 15 games this season, most notably Barcelona, the traditional rival of Real Madrid, and the other Spanish capital, Atletico Madrid, in addition to Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Rainier will thus join his four Real Madrid citizens, who are Marcelo, Vinicius, Militao and Rodrigo.

Despite his young age, Rainier contributed to the Brazilian League and Libertadores Cup last year.
