The Norwegian handball gentlemen have impressed greatly during the European Championships and until Sunday won all four of their matches. But they have also neglected, which has cost them unnecessary wages.

Several of Norway's players use so-called compression shorts during the regular match. These must, according to the rules of the International Handball Federation, have the same color as the team's regular shorts, but this has been broken by the Norwegian players at all matches.

During the group game in Trondheim, players like Sander Sagosen wore black compression shorts under the dark blue shorts. It was against the rules, but even when the team for the first match in the middle round, in Malmö, switched to a blue color, it was a rule, as the shade was not enough match match shorts.

The rule violations have cost Norway a fine of EUR 7,000, corresponding to just over NOK 70,000 and SEK 75,000, writes NRK.

- On the one hand, we have tried to make changes along the way, to something that is very similar (in color), so we think it's a little tricky. On the other hand, we knew about this so we should have been better prepared too, so we can see a little in the mirror, ”Erik Langerud, secretary general of the Norwegian Handball Association, told NRK.

- It will be a lot of money that we would have liked to use for something else.
