Ajax rents Noa Lang for the rest of the season to FC Twente. The people of Amsterdam want the twenty-year-old attacker to gain experience with the Tukkers.
Lang made his debut for Ajax in September, when he participated as a substitute in the Champions League match with Lille (3-0 win). He has since played eight official games in the main force and stood out against FC Twente. Lang was at the kick-off in the Grolsch Veste and helped Ajax with a hat trick to a 2-5 win.
After that match, he only scored against Telstar in the TOTO KNVB Cup (3-4 win). The former youth player of Feyenoord also played nine games for Young Ajax this season in the Kitchen Champion Division, in which he scored five times.
At Ajax, Lang probably barely got playing time in the second half of the season. The Premier League leader strengthened this month with Ryan Babel, while Quincy Promes is fit again after weeks of injuries and David Neres is on the way back.
Lang is the second player to add Twente to the selection this winter. The number twelve of the Eredivisie was strengthened earlier with wing defender Giovanni Troupée, who will be rented from FC Utrecht for the rest of the season.
Chances are that Lang, who suffered a slight knee injury at Ajax training camp in Qatar early this month, can make his debut for FC Twente this weekend. The Tukkers will play against their home crowd against FC Groningen on Saturday (kick-off at 7:45 PM).
