Manchester United has agreed to give up its defender, veteran Ashley Young, to Inter Milan, according to press reports, the day before yesterday.

Young, 34, arrived in Italy yesterday to undergo a medical examination before signing a 18-month contract, according to "La Gaseta dello Sport."

The Red Devils club will receive $ 1.6 million in addition to rewards for including Young, who spent eight and half seasons at Old Trafford, after arriving from Aston Villa in 2011.

Young (39 international) played 261 in the Premier League, scoring 19 goals. He was the captain of his team this season, but he only started 10 league games mainly.

Young won the League title in 2013, the Cup in 2016 and the League Cup plus the European League in 2017.

Young left his team in fifth place, 27 points behind leaders Liverpool, who meet tomorrow at Anfield in a top game. Coach Antonio Conte is currently second in Serie A, two points behind defending champions Juventus.
