Gold in 100 m butterfly, silver in 200 m free and bronze in 100 free. That was the company at the 2016 Olympics. Since then she has won another eleven golds in the World Cup and European Championships.

Prior to the Tokyo Olympics, she talks about how important the preparations are and remembers back in 2011, when she finished four in three distances, to again finish four in the 2012 Olympics after being sick during the upload.

- Preparations did not go as planned, but that is what law has taught me now. It is the preparation that is the most important. That you stay healthy and are free from injuries. There must be continuity in training to be able to deliver on championships.

Sjöström won the first championship medal as a 14-year-old in the European Championships in 2008. Since then, she has lined up medals and she believes that the long trend of being injury-free is the basis for that.

- I haven't had any tough injuries during my career that have kept me away. I have had only one injury that has kept me away for a week, but I have no operations and I have escaped all that. It is one of the most important things to do with all the tough workouts.

- You notice as you get older that your body needs more recovery during certain periods. You must not forget to train really hard when exercising and then take it easy when you have a recovery week.
