Bad news for José Mourinho, Didier Deschamps and football as a whole: Moussa Sissoko has been operated on a knee and will not find his way to training until next April, announced the club Tottenham via press release.

"After a clinical evaluation and scans, Moussa Sissoko was operated today (Tuesday) on the collateral medial ligament of the right knee", write the Spurs in their press release.

After recovering from the operation, the 30-year-old French international will begin to recover "with the aim of returning to training in early April," added the London club. It is a big blow for the relay medium which will therefore most likely not be available for the friendly matches scheduled for the end of March with the Blues against Ukraine and Finland, three months before Euro 2020.
