Therese Johaug has been unbeatable this season until the Tour de Ski.

But in the Italian Alps, the Norwegian has encountered patrol twice over.

On Wednesday, she lost a sprint duel against compatriot Ingvild Flugstad Östberg in the hunt start. And today she lost a distance race for the first time when Astrid Uhrenholt Jacobsen won.

Here Johaug falls suddenly

"My own fault"

Johaug wasn't even on the podium - but finished in fifth place after a fall early in the race.

- It was tough today, started with a fall and I was a little stressed by it but that's how it is sometimes. It was entirely my own fault. I have continued the yellow leader jersey and the sprint tomorrow will be exciting, says Therese Johaug to SVT Sport.

The 31-year-old, however, did not have perfect skis, worse glides and poor mounting.

This caused the overall leader of this year's tour to lose in the total. Her lead down to compatriot Ingvild Flugstad Östberg is now down in 19 seconds. Ebba Andersson climbed a position and is fifth in the summary, 38 seconds after Johaug.
