This charity event, organized by the Pogba brothers for the benefit of Guinea, was to be one of the events of the end of the year, says France Bleu Touraine. In the stands, 9,500 spectators expected to see Kylian Mbappé, Laurent Koscielny, Robert Pirès, Amandine Henry and many other big names in football, announced on the poster of the event. The only ones to have presented themselves are Andy Delort and Pascal Feindouno, and the Pogba brothers, at the origin of the event.
A petition to be reimbursed
What arouse the annoyance of some spectators: if some were delighted to have been able to take a selfie with Paul Pogba, others found it “very limited”. “It's a very bad surprise, only Paul Pogba present but who was not playing. Everyone was very disappointed, given the price, it's a great scam, ”comments another on Facebook. The event page is the target of criticism. A "Charity match reimbursement" 48H for Guinea "page was created and 112 people signed the petition of the same name to have their places reimbursed, between 15 and 22.40 euros.

"We did not incur any costs, but the match being charitable and the praiseworthy intention, it is usual for the community to follow," said Christophe Bouchet to La Nouvelle République . "I thought that the event was not up to the announcement that had been made," he admits. "But the intention was good and sincere," he continued, before concluding: "Trust does not exclude control. "
The organizers reacted to the New Republic, explaining that they put "all their energy" into this event for "the children of Guinea". “If we made press releases to announce the possible arrival of this or that player, it was because we had oral assurances. We really thought they were coming. (…) We hear the criticisms, ”said an organizer, ensuring that he would respond to each email. Promising total transparency, they assured that every euro would be used to install water pumps in schools in Guinea.
