Osasuna has announced this Sunday that he will file a formal complaint with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for the application of the VAR, since he does not understand how a penalty was not signaled on Darko Brasanac in this Saturday's game against Atlético de Madrid after the review of the play.

In a statement, Osasuna indicates that after the events that took place in the Wanda Metropolitano, in which he was "seriously harmed by the decision of the VAR" , he has decided to formally file a complaint in the next hours before the RFEF. And he adds that, in the final stretch of the first half of the match, Darko Brasanac fell into the area as a result of the entry of a rival footballer, an action that "admits little room for interpretation."

Therefore, he emphasizes, "it is incomprehensible that the review of the play by the VAR determined that there had been no such infraction and that the collegiate of the meeting was not invited to see the action in more detail on the monitor located at the foot of the field" .

"Nor is it permissible under our view," says Osasuna, "that our coaching staff was transferred in the moments after the action that Darko Brasanac had slipped, when the television cameras clearly demonstrated the demolition of our player."

With these data it has been decided to file a formal complaint with the Federation considering that the VAR "is a tool that serves to impart justice and correct the logical errors that can occur in a party", as it considers that it has been at least until last days, in which Osasuna "has been harmed by a very questionable interpretation of the tool".

And in this sense, the Navarrese club adds that the referee of the match may not realize the action on the pitch, but cannot understand "the reasons that led the VAR colleague to overlook a flagrant infraction," which leads him to formally express to the RFEF his "discomfort."
