Ferguson defeated Donald Cerrone in his last bout by technical knockout.
Nurmagomedov has 28 victories and not a single defeat in MMA. Ferguson has 25 fights won with three failures.
Earlier, Nurmagomedov said when the first press conference with Ferguson could take place.
