Davos World Cup competitions start this afternoon with a sprint in Swiss Davos. In the squad Sweden has got Stina Nilsson back but Ebba Andersson and Frida Karlsson are still missing. Ebba Andersson's absence has to do with a knee injury she sustained in Bruksvallarna just before the start of the season.

Frida Karlsson, on the other hand, was stopped in one of the national team's health checks and was given an indefinite period in Monday's competition ban.

- I feel very sorry that she is not here. I hope she is back in the gang soon. But at the same time she has the patience to do the job required, ”Charlotte Kalla tells Aftonbladet.

"Frida will be richer in experience"

Kalla believes that she too has similar experiences as a national team colleague.

- I have struggled with some injuries and illnesses for periods. So yes, you are somewhere there and trying to understand where your personal boundary goes. Then the team around is very important. Because even if you try to be as honest as possible with yourself, it can sometimes be good to have someone from outside who helps one to see the whole, says Kalla to Aftonbladet.

However, Kalla believes that there are positive sides to Frida's competition ban.

- Frida will be richer in experience and purely physically stronger if she can handle this setback, Kalla tells the magazine.
