The sprint at Hochfilzen was arranged for a fight between the French icon Martin Fourcade and the Norwegian, Johannes Thingnes Bö.
Thingnes Bö went out first and led from start to finish.

When Fourcade missed, twice over, on the second shooting, things were almost done. The only threat, instead, was the second Frenchman, Simon Desthieux, who was 7.8 seconds behind Thingnes Bö in goal.

Samuelsson's best Swedish

Five Swedes started. Torstein Stenersen, Martin Ponsiluoma, Jesper Nelin, Peppe Femling and Sebastian Samuelsson. Samuelsson became the best among the blue-yellow. 46th place is enough for a place at tomorrow's hunting start. However, he is 1 minute and 43 seconds after the win.

- I was happy with nine shots. I fought with what I have, but today I was a little behind. It's day form the most, Sebastian Samuelsson told SVT Sport after finishing.

Nelin finished in 66th place, Ponsiluoma 83rd, Femling 88th, Stenersen 97th. SVT's expert Björn Ferry gave his views on today's Swedish result.

- This is not a good Swedish day. It's not good either way. Samuelsson far down despite a boom, then you want to be top ten. That's weak, Ferry summed up.
