After two suspension tournaments due to a strike, the women's crown played yesterday the first international of the season. In the first match the four-nation tournament in Füssen, Sweden lost to Germany by 3-2. Despite the loss, league captain Ylva Martinsen was pleased with the game.

Today also came the first victory of the season when Finland were down 4-1. Strong victory by Sweden who went down to the B-World Cup last year. In recent years, the team has had a very hard time winning over Finland.

The first victory of the season

After a speechless first period, Sweden took the lead by 1-0 after the goal of Emma Murén. Finland admitted after the half-time through the Minnamari Tuominen, but two minutes later, the women's crown took back the lead. That after Lisa Johansson played forward Michelle Löwenheim who set the 2-1 goal. And in the beginning of the third period, Erica Udén Johansson increased to 3-1. With only 24 seconds left of the match, Sabina Küller set the final score to 4-1.

Sweden concludes the tournament on Saturday by meeting Switzerland, which yesterday defeated Finland by 5-4 after penalties.
