Frida Karlsson competed in the season premiere in Finnish Ruka. Then she was left with colds.

And on Monday, the ski association announced that it had received a starting ban until further notice when it failed to meet all health requirements. Right now it is unclear when she can be back in competition. Prior to the premiere, the Norwegian skiing star Ingvild Flugstad Östberg was also stopped from competitors because of health problems.

- I think it's a shame they aren't here. At the same time, health goes first and it is very important that you take advantage of it. Victory in the World Cup, the World Cup or the Olympics does not matter in comparison with health, says Therese Johaug to SVT Sport.

How difficult is it to find the right balance with?

- It is clear that it is difficult when you exercise so much. We are exposed to a great deal of pressure and you want to perform all the time. At the same time, I know they both have good teams around them, and I hope they will be back soon.

"An extra day off"

Therese Johaug says it is important to take advantage of themselves as they exercise so much.

- It is important to add periods when you relax and do other things. Taking an extra day off, relaxing from exercise and treating yourself to an extra good dinner at home.

What kind of help do you get in such questions?

- We have a good health team around us in Norway with doctors, physiotherapists and trainers with whom we have close follow-ups. They give us good advice so that we balance on the right side. We are doing very well in Norway.

Do enough

Should one do more, or is it enough?

- For me personally, I think you do enough, and I think they are for the rest too.

- I know myself what I do and I have a good device all around me. Then it is important to point out that we are all different. I can never be Marit (Björgen) and Marit can never be me. It's very simple, says Therese Johaug to SVT Sport.
