Chelsea coach Frank Lampard said his club would not be "crazy" when the transfer ban was lifted in January, after the young players appeared wonderfully after getting the opportunity and time to develop.

"I am calm about the transfer season. I feel very calm about that," Lampard told reporters after Chelsea qualified for the final of the UEFA Champions League and to beat France 1-2 in Stamford Bridge.

"We are developing, and even some bumps in the last two weeks are part of the march. I trust what we are doing now, I don't think we will go crazy after the ban on deals is lifted," he added.

And Chelsea won the green light last week to include players in the winter transfer period next month, after the sports arbitration court reduced the penalty imposed on the club in February by denying the contract with players because of violations in the registration of players under 18 years.

Lampard does not feel the need to sign players with heavy sums in January. The English coach already has reasons to feel confident in the young players, after the emergence of distinguished players such as top scorer Abraham, Mason Mount, Reese James and Vikayo Tomori.

"Going forward, we want to develop the squad, and this will happen according to a vision of what we have and how we can improve," Lampard said.
