Frida Karlsson does not meet the Swedish Ski Association's health requirements. After a planned health check, the union decided to stop her from competing.

- You are on the border, not only Frida but many elite athletes are on the border. It is good that you take hold of it and follow up on skiers so that you can catch them before problems become. In this way, it is good that you have the health requirements for riders to ride.

Although Frida Karlsson is now forced to give up the competition for a while, Mathias Fredriksson does not believe that it will affect the development of young talent in the long run.

- First and foremost it is important to get back into balance. It must take the time it takes. It's no idea to stress. But hopefully she can be back in the competition track in the near future, and then I don't think she will be affected by this much.

"Health goes firsthand"

Even SVT Expert Anders Blomquist thinks it is a pity that Frida is stopped from competing, but also says that there are more important things than competing.

- You get very, very sad. Frida has such a fantastic talent both physically and mentally. But it is clear that health goes firsthand, he says.
