With rewards from the biggest stars, it was the young Swedish team that was placed on the track in today's relay in Lillehammer. Emma Ribom stood for a very nice first stretch where she held back on Maiken Caspersen Falling the stretch in through. The conditions in Lillehammer were tough. A heavy snowfall just before the competition made the company really heavy-raced for all riders involved.

Elina Rönnlund started the second stage strongly, but when Finland through Kerttu Niskanen pulled up the pace significantly in the sprint, the Swedish could not really keep up. Norway's third leg was taken care of by Therese Johaug. Most people probably thought that the length queen would provide an unbeatable advantage for the home team, and that was the case.

Kalla provided good conditions for Lundgren

But the Swedish team's only routine rider, Charlotte Kalla, also made a good effort as she went around Finland in second place and kept the chasing teams at a proper distance behind her.

Sweden's finisher, Moa Lundgren, knew she had a tough task ahead of her when a molded American in the form of Jessica Diggins was closest behind. All in all, Diggins could go around Lundgren and then it was about keeping Finland's Krista Pärmäkoski behind to secure a Swedish pallet place. But Finland was never really close and Lundgren had 13 seconds down to Pärmäkoski at the finish.

Norway's victory with just over 50 seconds down to the US is the Norwegian women's fifteenth straight in the World Cup.
