Horse Racing Fujita Nanako First victory in JRA heavy prize race First Japanese female jockey December 8th 17:27

Nanako Fujita, who has gained attention as a female jockey in horse racing, has won the JRA = Japan Central Horse Racing Heavy Race for the first time.

Fujita Jockey mounted the second most popular Kopanokikicking at the G3 Capella Stakes on the 8th in the Dirt 1200m at Nakayama Racecourse in Chiba Prefecture.

After a great start, the race proceeded in a perfect position to see the leading horses, and brought to the outer course on the last straight line.

Fujita jockey is the first Japanese female jockey to win the JRA heavy prize.

The 22-year-old Fujita Jockey was the first female jockey born in JRA in 2016 for the first time in 16 years.

However, the number of wins has been steadily increasing, including 41 wins, including Capella Stakes, the first heavy prize win, and the total number of wins has been increased to 88.

Fujita jockey said, “I was able to advance the race with a good response. I am grateful for being able to grow on a wonderful horse.”
