CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's Zamalek kicked off their African Champions League group stage with a 3-0 defeat at Congolese Mazembe on Saturday in the first round of Group A.

Zamalek started the game together and put pressure on the opponent.Morocco winger Mohamed Onagem started with more than one ball attacked by the Congolese strong team, but striker Jackson Molica advanced to the hosts with a goal in the 60th minute after he met the cross of teammate Pato Kabango with a powerful header that netted goalkeeper Mohamed Awad.

Striker Tresor Mboto added Mazembe to the second goal in the 66th minute after a decisive pass from Cabango, then Molica returned to add the second and third goal for the Congolese team in the 84th minute.

Mazembe won the first three points in their group stage, while Zamalek remained without points in the first group, which also includes Primero de Augusto of Angola and Zesco United Zambia.
