Arsenal's run of poor results prompted London club management to dismiss coach Unai Emery on Friday (November 29th) after a defeat at home against Frankfurt in the Europa League.

The former coach of PSG is temporarily replaced by his deputy and former player Freddie Ljungberg, according to a statement from the club.

Author of a draw in extra time against penultimate Southampton (2-2) on Saturday, Arsenal has not won any of its last seven games in all competitions, its worst series since 1992. The Gunners have 8 points late on the Top 4 of the Premier League qualifying for the Champions League.

Our last 7 games:

Arsenal 2-2 Palace
Liverpool 5-5 Arsenal
Arsenal 1-1 Wolves
Vitoria 1-1 Arsenal
Leicester 2-0 Arsenal

Arsenal 1-2 Eintracht

... We had never seen such a foul series in 1235 games under Wenger ... CQFD #AFC

Targeted by all the critics because of surprising choices, such as Mesut Özil's prolonged sidelining, and the mediocrity of his team's game after more than a year in place, Unai Emery has never managed to win back the coat of arms of the Gunners.

Since his arrival in 2018, after the departure of Arsene Wenger, the Basque has taken the club in the final of the Europa League, but failed to qualify for the C1.
