Amin Goueiri had a special day on Wednesday when he played for Lyon in two Champions League matches in a day.

The striker was instrumental in the UEFA U-19 clash with Zenit in the Champions League.

The 19-year-old Algerian-born left half-time between a 3-1 win over Zenit.

Because of the absence of the first team, coach Rudy Garcia was forced to seek the young striker to participate in the game of the senior team, which took place six hours after the match of youth.

Goueiri took part in the final 10 minutes of the first-team clash with Zenit, which ended in a 2-0 victory for the Russians.

Yesterday's match was the young striker's first appearance for the first team this season. Note that he is returning from a complicated injury and has recently recovered from a cut in the cruciate ligament of the knee.

Goueiri has a contract with Lyon until 2022 and has played for France's youth teams and is one of the talents Algerians are looking to see for their first team in the coming period.
