Russia Doping International Convention 4 years ban Olympics and Para are personally proposed

WADA = World Anti-Doping Organization has banned participation in the international convention in Russia for four years because the Russian side has altered the provision data that was a condition for the cancellation of the disposal. It was clarified that a proposal to dispose of only those athletes who meet strict conditions with a personal qualification will be consulted with the Standing Board next month.

Over the Russian systemic doping issue, WADA lifted its ban on Russia last year, provided that it provided all the data of the players stored at the concealed laboratories.

However, it was found that there was a possibility of falsification of the data provided, and after reviewing the Compliance Review Committee, the decision was made at the Standing Board next month.

On the 25th, WADA announced the details of the disposal proposal compiled by the Compliance Review Committee, and concluded that the data provided by the Russian side was "very serious violation of regulations", assuming that there were at least a few hundred replacements or deletions. I made it clear.

In addition to prohibiting participation in major international competitions in Russia for four years, it is said that only athletes who meet strict requirements for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics can participate with individual qualifications.

WADA has strengthened its authority last year so that countries and regions that do not comply with the rules can be excluded from major international competitions, and will consider the proposal at the Standing Board meeting on the 9th of next month.

The Russian side can appeal to the CAS = Sport Arbitration Court, but if the decision is finalized, Russia will not be able to participate in the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics following the Pyongchang Games.
