There were two teams in different parts of the table that met in Gothenburg. Frölunda, with a fresh 8–2 victory against Färjestad in CHL in the baggage, is at the top of SHL. Newcomer Leksand, after several weak results during the autumn, is firmly rooted in the bottom.

Frölunda also showed early on why these are the ones at the top of the table to do.

Early management

2.43 in the first period, Mats Rosseli Olsen shot in 1–0. There were no more goals during that period, but this was Frölunda's match.

At the beginning of the second period, Patrik Carlsson made 2-0, and with six minutes left of the center stage Simon Hjalmarsson increased the lead. Hjalmarsson's goals came in numerical superiority after Leksand got deported after having too many players on the ice.

Frölunda continued to rush forwards in the third period and scored three more goals in the course of five minutes, where Viktor Ekbom's 6-0 goal was of the more daring kind.

Ekbom apparently got a hit with a shot from the blue line. But to Leksands, and especially the great annoyance of Calle Själin, the puck was guided into the goal via Själin's skate.

"On again"

Leksand eventually got a consolation goal, but Frölunda also made another through Ryan Lasch and won by 7-1

Nicklas Lasu, who held a hat-trick this week against Färjestad in CHL, accounted for three new points tonight.

- We were soft and passive for a few weeks I think. But now we're back, Nicklas Lasu tells C More.

Leksand thus continues to have a hard time - especially in the offensive. The loss to Frölunda was Leksand's third straight and only two goals have been scored on the three matches, and is second only to the table.
